An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join a commissioning team within the Adult Social Care of North Northamptonshire Council. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an effective administration and business support function, working alongside commissioning managers to ensure effective administration of specialist contracts and services.

The Commissioning and Performance Team within the Adults, Communities and Wellbeing Directorate is responsible for commissioning and managing services for vulnerable adults. Our services work alongside care management, health, housing and housing developers, the voluntary sector organisations and a wide range of care providers to keep people with social care needs living as independently and as healthily as possible.

The Business support team provides support to the Commissioning and Performance sections in particular supporting with payments and administering contracts in line with the Council’s Contracts Procedure Rules and the Public Contracts Regulation 2015.

There are in excess of 400 contracts covering Residential Care, Domiciliary Care, Day Care Supported Living, and a number specialist one off contracts in Prevention and Early intervention many of these have a range of different schedules. Amongst other administrative tasks the post holder is expected that correct contracts and respective schedules are issued to providers; and prior to this, checking and ensuring the legal status of the company to be included in contracts– this may involve research using Companies House and CQC websites and checking all documents returned by the providers to ensure adequate levels of insurance, registration, and liaising with service providers and 3rd parties (Insurance brokers etc.) if required. It will also include liaising with range of care providers to ensure that new contracts are signed as well as issuing regular communication notifications to the care providers within the acre market, using a number of different databases.
