Are you looking for a new opportunity within Social Care?

The Older People’s and Physical Disabilities Teams are developing an exciting way of working which will see Social Workers and Adult Support Co-ordinators working in a supportive environment.

As a result of this a new opportunity has arisen for additional full-time Adult Support Co-ordinator posts in the Older People’s Team (based in Cambridge) and Physical Disabilities Team (based in St Ives), for 37 hours a week.

You’ll be working with adults and older people in need of care and support services, along with their informal carers. It will be crucial that you work in partnership with them in order to establish needs and ensure they’re met.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed and passionate individuals who are dedicated to improving people’s lives, working alongside other professional colleagues to promote the principles of personalisation, encouraging independence, choice and opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge, experience and understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults. Working knowledge and experience of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and CCC Adult Social Care policies and procedures will also be an advantage, particularly around wellbeing and outcomes.

IMPORTANT: This role will require you to enter the premises of a CQC-registered care home as part of your employment. Regulations which come into force from 11th November will require employees over 18 who enter CQC-registered care homes in England to have completed a full course of authorised COVID-19 vaccine doses at least 2 weeks before 11th November, unless they have a medical exemption. As part of your pre-employment checks you will need to provide evidence of your vaccinations or medical exemption. Your employment will not commence until this evidence is received.
