Business Continuity Officer

Salary from £34,542 to £38,504 (Northampton & Kettering areas) 18 months fixed term.

Do you fancy making a difference?

Do you fancy joining a newly formed unitary council to shape its business continuity arrangements?

North Northants and West Northants Councils came into being on the 1st April 2021 and we are looking for three Business Continuity Officers (one for North Northants and two for West Northants) to ensure continuity in business processes before, during and after a disaster.

This opportunity is well suited to an individual looking to advance their career in business continuity and contingency planning and gain hands-on experience in a new vibrant authority and supportive team.

The role sits within the small Emergency Planning Team, who are currently hosted by North Northants Council and service both North and West Northants Councils.

We are looking for experienced business continuity officers, with formal training in Business Continuity Management to manage the implementation and day-to-day functions related to creating Business Continuity Plans and Procedures, while also ensuring that the local authority can respond effectively to and recover from significant business continuity challenges.

Submissions will close at midnight on 21 October 2021.

Interviews will be held the week commencing 25 October 2021.
