An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cambridgeshire County Councils Children in Care Team based in Huntingdon and we are seeking to recruit a Team Manager to join us.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills and a passion for working with vulnerable families whilst holding systemic theory and practice central to your exemplary Social work.

The applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can think creatively in delivering targeted support, will have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care, understanding thresholds and will have proven experience in managing a team of social work staff. This role will include work allocation, performance monitoring, dealing with staffing issues and the training and development of the Team.

You will have relevant experience working in Children’s Social Care and be familiar with child protection systems and processes, court work and working with children who are in care. You should also have knowledge of statutory requirements and local procedures.

As the Team Manager you will play an important role in delivering a needs-led professional service ensuring that vulnerable children and young people benefit from the best possible outcomes.
