An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cambridgeshire County Councils Children in Care and Leaving Care combined Team based in Huntingdon and we are seeking to recruit a Team Manager to join us.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills and a passion for working with vulnerable young adults.

The applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can think creatively in delivering targeted support and project work as well as having an aspirational attitude regarding our Children in Care and Care Leavers. The Team Manager will have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care and will have a good understanding of thresholds. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing a team of Social Work staff. This role will include work allocation, performance monitoring, dealing with staffing issues and the training and development of the Team.

You will have relevant experience working in Children’s Social Care and be familiar with the Children in Care and Leaving Care processes and working with children who are in care. You should also have knowledge of statutory requirements and local procedures.

As the Team Manager you will play an important role in delivering a needs-led professional service ensuring that vulnerable young adults benefit from the best possible outcomes.
