The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) are searching for an enthusiastic professional to join the team and help communicate high profile, innovative, multi-million pound transport projects.

As part of the GCP communications team, you will be instrumental in organising and delivering local engagement and working closely with stakeholders to ensure our transport projects meet the needs of the public now and in the future.

Your experience of delivering communication plans and projects on budget and to deadline will be invaluable. Knowledgeable in digital marketing and the use of social media, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to translate complex projects into plain English.

You will need to have a flexible approach as occasional evening and weekend work may be needed. You will also need to be able to travel around the county to attend meetings and events. You will have the opportunity to work across exciting and diverse transport projects from off-road foot and cycle ways to improving bus journeys.

The Greater Cambridge Partnership is a partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge City Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Business Board and Cambridge University tasked with delivering the improvements needed to support sustainable economic growth across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire: creating an efficient transport network that can accommodate more journeys, accelerating the supply and affordability of new homes and ensuring local employers can access workers with the relevant skills.

We’re proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunities employer, committed to hiring people based on attitude and merit, regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic. We're committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and therefore encourage applications from groups that are under-represented within the council.
