Here at Cambridgeshire Libraries, we have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused Community Library Assistant to join our small and friendly team to work in Cambourne and Comberton Libraries with occasional travel to Great Shelford, Sawston and Linton Libraries.

The successful candidate will be a friendly, enthusiastic team player, dedicated to providing an excellent level of customer service at all time including helping customers use online services or with other enquiries.

We are looking for someone who can provide the following:

• Excellent customer service to all visitors to Cambridgeshire Libraries
• Good communication skills and able to build positive and supportive relations with our customers, team and communities
• Are flexible in their approach to work location and able to multi-task
• Be able to travel between branches occasionally at short notice
• Have good IT skills and able to support customers to use online services and with other enquiries
• Able to work alone in our single staffed libraries
• Physically fit as library work is demanding
