As a Desktop/Helpdesk Team Leader, you will be accountable for the planning, implementation, and support of desktop systems from a technical aspect, you will be required to assess and prioritise of issues within the desktop team working collaboratively alongside a peer team leader to ensure the correct resource is available.

Working with the team identifying new process and training opportunities to inspire their development to meet the demands of a modern desktop team, providing excellent service to the partnership Councils

The role will also require the management of customer expectation at the different Councils, so it is important that you can communicate effectively with all levels of staff and have a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude to ensure progress on the projects.

The council have access to a wide range of professional E-learning courses via our external learning portal and will look to support exam qualifications where possible.

The role will require cross site management at offices in Huntingdon (Pathfinder House) & Cambourne (Business Park). Remote working can also be supported once suitable site and team knowledge is acquired.

Please note the postholder is required to hold a DBS.
