Strong Start are a team of qualified and passionate Early Years Workers who provide universal support to families with children under the age of 5.

• Can you plan, deliver and evaluate activities for under 5’s and their families?
• Can you work alongside other agencies to provide support for under 5’s and their families?
• Do you have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage that you can share with the team?
• Do you have coaching and development skills?

If so, you could be the person we are looking for. We are currently looking to recruit 4 new Early Years Workers to help us increase our offer.

The role of Strong Start is to improve outcomes for all young children from birth to age five, and to reduce inequalities in outcomes between children growing up with disadvantages and the wider population. We provide the universal aspect of the Children’s Centre offer throughout Northamptonshire in conjunction with our partners who provide targeted services to young children and their families. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated people who have experience of working with families and children aged 0 to 5 years who are good communicators and team workers, plus have a Childcare NVQ or equivalent level 3 qualification.

The job is county wide and involves working across a range of venues to lead a programme of services so the successful applicants would require use of a car for which a mileage allowance is paid. We are looking for new workers to cover all our services across the county. Alongside an intensive induction we offer training, regular supervision and professional development opportunities.

The interviews will be carried out from the 1st to the 3rd of September and the interview process will include a presentation on a key area of child development.

This role will require occasional evening and weekend working and candidates will need to be flexible to the business needs of the service. There are variety of full time and part time posts available, to be discussed at interview. The post requires an enhanced DBS clearance.
