We are looking for 2 enthusiastic and committed team members to join our Education Welfare Benefits Team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting and challenging role and the successful applicants will need to be flexible, approachable, self-motivated, highly organised, and able to adapt to ever changing demands in a fast paced environment.

This is a flexible role which will be based in New Shire Hall, Alconbury but will also provide the opportunity to be working from home and other locations.

The Education Welfare Benefits Team are responsible delivering an essential service in determining eligibility of children in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for Free School Meals, Early Years Funding for 2 Year Olds and Early Years Pupil Premium.

The successful candidates will have the ability to prioritise workloads for themselves on a daily basis, according to the required timescales. They will be a good team player but also able to use their own initiative and work with minimal supervision.

The post holders will provide an effective and friendly service to parents/carers and schools. They will process applications and respond to any queries relating to children who may be eligible for these benefits. As one of the first points of contact for enquiries, they must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A friendly, sensitive approach is equally critical to the success of the Service. They will work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, producing work to a high standard. The post holders will have excellent IT, with Knowledge of Microsoft office package. Data entry onto the Capita ONE database also forms part of the role, for which training will be provided.
