Are you an enthusiastic and creative social worker looking for a new and exciting opportunity?

Join our Family Safeguarding team as a social worker and feel valued.

In February 2020, we launched our Family Safeguarding model. After over a year with this new style of working, our district is already seeing many great benefits.

These include:
• A reduction in caseloads.
• An opportunity to work positively alongside Adult Practitioners sharing knowledge and resources to produce better outcomes for families.
• A reduction in the number of Children in Care.
• A reduction in Child Protection Plans.
• A productive case contribution from specialist workers (including victim, perpetrator, alcohol and substance misuse specialists).
• Joint monthly discussions with all those working directly with families.
• An opportunity to undertake Motivational Interview Training.

Please access the attached document to read more about this exciting development.

We are dedicated to your personal and professional development. We have separated case and personal supervision as we believe that our Social Workers should be given dedicated time to focus on their own development, as well as their caseloads. We offer our Social Workers a variety of training packages that include Practice Educator programmes, Achieving Best Evidence programmes and PAMs.

Our range of benefits, designed specifically for social workers, include a competitive salary between £33,816 - £36,470, retention scheme with increasing bonus’ over 3 three years, relocation package of up to £8,000, generous annual leave entitlement (28 days plus Bank Holidays), local government pension scheme and agile working.
Please see our benefits brochure attached for details.

We have positions available in the following locations:

East Cambridgeshire Team – Ely
Fenland Teams – March
South Cambridgeshire & Cambridge City Teams – currently based in Shire Hall, central Cambridge but shortly moving to refurbished premises in Trumpington.

You must be a qualified social worker with current SWE registration and experience in the court arena.

For many Social Workers, it is about making a difference. When you are in the Family Safeguarding Team, you really can.
