Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency is looking for a flexible and organised team player to join their fast-paced team based in Cambourne.

Within this busy and varied role you will work collaboratively with the Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency to ensure that Disabled Facilities Grants and other repairs grants are processed efficiently. As well as having strong financial skills and the ability to work within the boundaries of financial regulations, you will have an awareness of the needs of physically disabled people.

Liaising with Caseworkers, Occupational Therapists and other professionals you will take responsibility for approving grants, be accountable for the budget, record and monitor expenditure as well as producing the necessary reports to ensure compliance with financial procedures.

With first-rate accuracy and attention to detail you will be able to demonstrate your excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel, whilst working closely with the wider team to maximise the overall efficiency of the Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency.

You will also oversee grant applications for residents who do not wish to use the agency, this will include carrying out occassional site inspections and giving advice directly to customers about how they can independently access grants.

Our ideal candidate will be target driven with experience of working to deadlines and the ability to make clear and accountable decisions. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to multi-task and prioritise within a busy environment. Some experience in housing, construction or repairs would be an advantage but not essential.

The ability to travel between sites is essential and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be undertaken for the successful applicant.
