Handyperson
Would you like to join our forward-thinking team at Northampton Partnership Homes which has recently been restructured to help us to achieve the objectives of our new ambitious repairs and compliance strategy.
Why is this an exceptional opportunity?
We are going places, we are positive about our future and see you as being integral to helping us to achieve our strategic objectives. An important part of our future is to work closely with our community interest company “Happy to Help” and provide a handyperson scheme, where we can assist tenants with simple, DIY type works.
As the Handyperson, your main responsibilities will include:
• The provision of a minor repairs and improvements service
• Checking communal blocks for routine maintenance
• Assisting qualified tradesmen with larger works
• Helping “Happy to help” with general maintenance and repairs

The ideal Handyperson will have:
• Excellent communication skills, as much of the work will involve working with our elderly and vulnerable tenants and leaseholders
• Repairs and maintenance skills and knowledge
• Proven experience working in occupied properties
• A passion for NPH and helping us to achieve our objectives
In return, the successful candidate will be offered a salary of £22,128.00 plus a competitive package including local government pension scheme, flexible working & a raft of family friendly policies, together with a commitment to CPD and further qualifications, 28 Days Leave + Bank Holidays.
If you would like an informal discussion about this exciting opportunity, please contact Gary Duckmanton (Assistant Director – Property Maintenance & Compliance) on 07919 217547 or gduckmanton@nph.org.uk
