Are you an experienced Housing Options Officer who has a passion for working with local residents? There is an exciting opportunity to work with local people, landlords and local organisations in Northamptonshire to understand and meet their needs.

Who we are:
West Northamptonshire Council is the single unitary council responsible for providing a range of public services to residents and businesses in the areas of Daventry, Northampton and South Northants.

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Housing Options Officer whose key focus will be to:
Take ownership working on your own initiative to see cases through from start to finish
Undertake detailed negotiation to find solutions to prevent homelessness and deliver an effective and efficient service
Provide clients and organisations with detailed advice on a wide range of housing law issues
Put customers at the heart of everything you do
Assess applicants in line with local policy for nomination to the local registered providers for suitable properties
Build strong partnerships across the community, with various agencies and services (both statutory and voluntary) to help prevent homelessness and develop community resilience

With a passion for collaborative multi agency working, you will have excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be outcome focused, a clear thinker, a great motivator and an accomplished skilled negotiator and problem solver.
