We need someone who can work alongside Councillors, representatives from Cambridge University and the Environment Agency as a statutory member of the governance body. We want someone who will play a vital part in the Navigation Authority responsible for maintaining the river between the Mill Pond and Bottisham Lock.

As an Independent Board Member this voluntary role will see you attending board meetings and sub-committees to ensure that policy and strategic decisions are considered in line with required standards; and that there is compliance in key areas such as Health & Safety, Data Protection, Human Resources and Finance.

Living, or working, in Cambridgeshire you will join us with a willingness to become familiar with the statutes and byelaws associated with the organisation; training will be available to enhance your understanding of the responsibilities and accountabilities within this role.

If you possess good communication skills, have an interest in the river and its use and want to collaborate with others then we want to hear from you.
