To support these growth aims, the Council is seeking ambitious and talented individuals to lead and support the Council with delivery of its ambitious infrastructure projects, working closely with stakeholders and supply chain partners.

The post holder will support the Head of Service in delivering service outcomes through effective performance management. They will provide leadership which enables staff to contribute directly to a culture of continuous improvement in the Highway Service and to the delivery of the Council’s objectives, strategies, policies, plans and processes. Delivered by the Highways Contracts value circa £60 million per annum, such as Highways NEC Term Service Contract, Joint Professional Services Framework and Street Lighting PFI.

The post holder will provide professional contract performance management and compliance support to the Head of Service, and other managers within Place & Economy in delivering the Council and Directorate’s objectives through joined-up service planning, community engagement and the flexible use of resources.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with partners and the supply chain, and have the ability to engage with stakeholders including elected members.
