We have a brilliant opportunity within the new North Northamptonshire Council for a Principal Social Worker / Principal Care Manager to join our Wellingborough Community Hub within Adult Social Care.

We are looking for someone with experience in Health or Social Care with the skills to support and supervise a bustling and fast-paced team of front line social care workers. The perfect candidate will have a passion and be committed to work alongside people within our community to enable to live the best life possible.

We use a strengths based and outcomes focussed approach after recently adopting the 3 conversations model, which means engaging with people and allowing them to tell us what is important and what really matters to them. Our role is to take timely action to support people in our area to connect with resources that help them continue with their chosen life – either with support or independently.

At North Northamptonshire Council we know that our staff are key to our success, and we are looking for someone with enthusiasm, ambition and creativity to help us to achieve the best possible outcomes for people in the community. We are keen to find someone who is able to promote our values and to guide and enable staff to support people, connect with partner organisations and build relationships within our area.

We’d love to hear from you if…

• You are proactive, and have the ability to think creatively

• You exercise professional curiosity rather than accept things at face value or make decisions based on assumptions

• You demonstrate problem solving abilities, working alongside people to enable them to find their own solutions

• You have a real commitment to identifying and promoting people’s strengths, hopes and aspirations

• You have a passion for connecting and working in partnership with people and their situation.

• You are willing and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of partners, including community groups and the voluntary sector

• You understand the legislative frameworks which govern the work we do as adult social care workers

For more information on the role, please contact Meriel White, Team Manager for the Wellingborough and East Northants Community Hubs, on 07753 442060 or by emailing
