Joining our Procurement Team you will assist with the provision of efficient and effective procurement support to all aspects of the organisation. This exciting role will ensure compliance with Council requirements and you will be able to utilise your experience of working as part of a team in supporting the Senior Strategic Procurement Officer with transparency and excellent customer service.

Acting as the first line support for managers using the e-tendering software, you will load and run all procurement led e-procurements, ensuring that all processes are managed via the e-tendering software. You will also provide advice and support on the procurement process (via the software) acting as the Council’s super user, escalating technical issues as required.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and excellent knowledge of general IT systems, ideally Microsoft Office (or equivalent). With your proven organisational and prioritisation skills you will have the ability to work as part of a team or upon your own initiative.

Knowledge or experience in public/ private sector procurement would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
