West Northamptonshire Council has an exciting opportunity for a secondment to the post of Project Support Officer within the Programme Management Office. This is a great time to join a small dedicated team of supportive and experienced professionals as we support transformation across the organisation. We are looking for an experienced administrator who is looking to progress their career within project management.

As a Project Support Officer, you will deliver comprehensive and high-quality support to all aspects of the Transformation programmes, providing a wide range of administrative and project support to the Transformation Board and joint governance arrangements with North Northamptonshire Council, and for priority projects within the Corporate Services directorate; further details of the role are provided in the job description.

What you will bring to the role:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible approach to problem solving
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload and multi-task
• Experience of using MS Office suite of programmes and working remotely on Microsoft Teams
• Knowledge of working with senior managers and key stakeholders
• Understanding of change and its impact on people and processes
• Not being afraid to ask and provide challenge to working practices
• Not being averse to taking a lead role within a project environment
• Ideally some knowledge of project management and organisational change / efficiency programmes but training will be provided for the successful candidate

Above all, what you will bring to the role is an enthusiasm for learning about project management and wanting to successfully deliver change within the organisation.

The position is full- time, 37 hrs per week although part-time working will be considered. This is a flexible role which offers hybrid working and flexible working hours.
