We have a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual to develop, lead and manage our Housing Repairs Service. You will be responsible for ensuring effective financial control and performance management of the Operations Team and direct the in-house Direct Labour Organisation.

You will lead maintenance operations and service delivery to ensure works are delivered to time, cost and quality requirements also ensuring that properties meet the current and future needs of occupiers. You will be expected to provide direction and vision for the team, managing and motivating staff.

In addition to this you will develop opportunities to create new income streams along with establish proactive maintenance services which contribute significantly to the successful delivery of the Council’s objectives and priorities.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of the statutory operating environment for undertaking building and maintenance works as well as experience running a in house Direct Labour Organisation and the of management of complex budgets.

As an experienced manager you will be able to evidence your ability to implement and monitor clear standards of performance and service delivery outcomes. Your demonstrable track record of successfully motivating staff will enable you to review and implement improvements whilst enhancing the customer experience.
