Within this interesting and varied role, you will support the delivery of ChYpPS Adventures specifically through the offer of; Cambridge Community Scrapstore, Play Pods and Scrap Adventures.

You will assist with the procurement of scrap materials, sourcing and collecting scrap materials that can be reused in Play Pods, Scrap Adventures and the Cambridge Community Scrapstore. Liaising with local businesses to encourage donations of scrap materials, you will process scrap materials to make them safe and useable. You will be responsible for the maintenance of Play Pods across the Eastern region, specifically with responsibility for refilling and supporting schools (and others) with their Play Pods, including play mentoring.

The successful applicant will have experience of using basic tools and equipment with an understanding of health and safety principles. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and be available and willing to work unsocial hours, evenings, weekends and school holidays. Experience of reusing and recycling scrap materials and working in an environment with children or young people would be highly advantageous. In addition to this, a good understanding of the legal requirements guiding project delivery e.g. health and safety, all round IT skills (particularly Microsoft Office and email) is desirable.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. As part of the role, the successful applicant will be required to drive a company vehicle; therefore, it is essential for the post holder to hold a valid driving license.
