An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Applications Support and Development Analyst, based in Norwich.

You will be a technical and customer focused IT support for IT business applications for customers of LGSS, working as part of a team to ensure that these operate reliably, securely and efficiently to the highest levels of availability. You will also be involved in high profile development projects, working both as part of a team and managing your own development activity.

Your main focus will be supporting the Housing Management application for the council with duties also extending into support and development for other applications including Income Management, Revenues and Benefits, Planning, Environmental Health, Licensing, HR and many more.

A typical day for you would be:

• Taking ownership for and resolving a large variety of complex incidents and service requests for our bespoke services and business systems

• Scoping, planning and delivering upgrades relating to applications to meet customer expectations and maintain the application portfolio.

• Providing leadership and support for small and large development and upgrade projects

• Manage relationships with customers, service colleagues and suppliers and providing excellent customer service

• Contributing to work managed by other teams within IT Services, both at Norwich and within the larger LGSS IT Services directorate, to ensure that future support needs are identified, captured and communicated between all support teams.

You will preferably be educated to ‘A’ level standard (or equivalent), be highly motivated to take ownership of customer projects, incidents and requests, with a very highly developed analytical and problem solving skillset. Communication, teamwork and organisational skills are essential to manage a varied workload under pressure.
