We currently have two vacancies for the role of Senior Business Officer supporting the Fostering Service within the Children’s & Safeguarding Directorate. These are permanent posts based in Scott House in Huntingdon. There is an expectation that the successful candidates travel across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough as required.

The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), and experience of supervising staff. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and forward plan. The successful candidate will also have proven experience & understanding of working within GDPR regulations.

The role will include working closely with senior manager and foster panel members. You will ensure the smooth running and coordination of Foster Panels, the collation of data, processing invoices, attending meetings and liaising with internal and external agencies. There will be some contact with Foster carers via phone and email. You will also oversee the administrative co-ordination of statutory checks in relation to recruitment of Foster Carers. In addition to this you will use our bespoke recording system, and therefore knowledge and experience of using data bases will be advantageous.

You will work as part of a wider team of Senior Business Officers who support teams across the whole of Children's & Safeguarding and you will receive quality peer and management support. You will report to a Business Development Co-ordinator and you will have regular 1-1s. We also offer a comprehensive workforce development matrix to all staff within Children's & Safeguarding Business Support.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of administrative staff within the Local Authority and develop knowledge and understanding of Children's Services.
