Public Health Northamptonshire is responsible for a range of public health services that improve health and wellbeing, prevent ill-health, and reduce health inequalities on behalf of the residents of Northamptonshire. We are part of a local Northamptonshire Suicide Prevention Partnership Forum, which brings together key stakeholders in the county with the aim of improving the lives of local people by focussing action on suicide and self-harm prevention.

We are looking for a Senior Performance and Information Officer to join the Public Health Intelligence team on a fixed term basis to work with data relating to Public Health, with a focus on supporting the local Suicide Prevention Programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing, interpreting and summarising statistics for a variety of products aimed at senior managers and external partners. Your work will help inform the management and development of local Public Health and suicide prevention services.

You will need to be familiar with data protection standards and information governance protocols and be able to produce clear, concise breakdowns of complex information for analysis and interpretation by a wide range of audiences. You will have a flexible approach and the attention to detail to ensure that your outputs are as accurate as possible.

Experience with the use of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and graphs, is essential.
Following Local Government Transformation, North Northamptonshire Council will be the employing organisation for this post.

The post is full time, and is at Local Authority I Grade, and is a 2 year fixed term appointment.
