We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our friendly and innovative Older People's team!

We are recruiting to a 22.5 hour role, but could consider offering this as a Full-Time position.

We depend on our Senior Social Workers to provide crucial leadership in our most challenging cases, setting clear examples for less experienced members of the team. You’ll be an exemplar of the high standards that we expect in every case, ensuring that every service user’s needs are met with proactive and personalised care.

Effective assessment and support planning in complex cases are crucial and it will be up to you to take the lead in these situations. Liaising with colleagues and third parties to ensure that appropriate and effective action is taken. It will be up to you to monitor and evaluate the support provided to service users, continually looking for ways to innovate in terms of care delivery, where it benefits the service user.

Your leadership role will also include supervising the practice and performance of Social Workers and Adult Support Co-ordinators in the team. Using your experience you be a creative coach in supervision, enable practice improvements and provide valuable feedback through staff appraisal.

As you’ll be working with Older People and their informal carers. It will be crucial to work in partnership to support individuals with their outcomes.
This isn’t just about delivering care, it’s about providing service users with choice and control of their lives and empowering independence.

Experience will be integral to your success in this role. We need someone to come in and be confident in the face of challenging cases and working with the most vulnerable service users.
