Personal Advisor - Corporate Parenting, Huntingdon

Working as a Personal Adviser within the Corporate Parenting Service, the role will embed an aspirational culture to further develop Cambridgeshire’s Local Offer to our Care Leavers. The role will drive forward the organisation’s desire to realise potential pledges of support from both within the authority and from partners throughout the county, in order to maximise the opportunities for our Care Leavers.

This will include the continuing development of our existing Local Offer; working in consultation with staff and our care leavers to ensure we, as an organisation are fulfilling our Corporate Parenting responsibilities to the best of our ability.

If so this we are looking to recruit a Personal Advisor within the corporate parenting service to help support our looked after children and care leavers. It is an exciting and varied role where that includes supporting young people into the adulthood, building positive working relationships with support agencies and advocating on behalf of the young people when required.

Here in Cambridgeshire we are committed to working systemically and thinking about children and their families. Our model of social work promotes a culture of support and collaborative working with a vast range of learning and development opportunities. Unique to Cambridgeshire, our model offers systemic trained family therapists whom provide a clinical lens to assessment, planning and evidence based interventions with children and their families.

Working out of a base Huntingdon but with the expectation you will travel across Cambridgeshire and nationally to visit children. You will be supplied with a laptop and smartphone as well as gaining free access to Tri-x, Research in Practice and CC-inform.
