Our innovative and successful Enhanced Response Service which responds to community calls is expanding. The service provides fast community response to ‘lifeline’ alarm calls, Ambulance calls and Urgent Social Care calls. We are a fast moving responsive service and want to hear from people with experience of domiciliary services, who want to help people to be as independent as possible in their own homes.

As a responder you will be responding to Telecare alerts from people who need non-emergency assistance. This can include:
• Providing assistance to get a person up from the floor following a fall
• Personal care – that is needed in an urgent and unplanned circumstance
• Providing reassurance
• Responding to silent calls
We also respond to non-injured calls from the ambulance service and calls from our partnership teams.

We use company vans to travel, work in pairs and work closely with the ambulance service.

An additional fuel allowance of £30 per month has been agreed for the 2022/23 financial year for employees driving over 300 business miles per month.

The posts require flexible working and includes evening and weekend shifts with additional Bank Holiday cover when needed. This is a 24-hour, 365-day service.

The different contracts we currently can offer you, are:
• 35 hours per week county-wide relief (rotas issued four weeks in advance)
• 28 hours per week, based in Huntingdon
• 17.5 hours per week, based in Huntingdon
• 14 hours per week, based in Cambridge
• 28 hours per week, based in Fenland
• 17.5 hours per week, based in Cambridge
