Huntingdon Day Services have opportunities for two Support Workers to join our team. This is an exciting time to join the service as we continue to strive to improve our service delivery making the role ideal for someone who has imagination and drive to succeed. Do you have the desire to progress services to achieve the best outcomes for adults with learning disabilities, whilst also supporting colleagues to be motivated? Do you want to achieve high standards of care and support? We are currently looking to recruit two Support Workers to support our teams based at one of our Day Centres in Huntingdon, St Neots and St Ives.

You will be working day to day and to ensure the adults that attend our services have integrated active programmes and are supported to enjoy an independent life, learning and practicing new life skills.

As a Support Worker you will ideally have experience of working with people with disabilities, be able to take responsibility for more complex health issues, positive behavioural support and medication and be able to provide support and advice with daily living in their local community.

Are you able to use your creative talents and make a genuine difference to service delivery? We are looking for someone wanting to make a difference, working with skilled, knowledgeable, passionate and responsive colleagues within Adult Social Care and with partner agencies.

You will support a team of staff providing them with support and guidance individually and as a group to deliver excellent care.

These posts will report to the Senior Support Worker who will provide full support to enable you to fulfil your role.

We have one post working 22 hours per week, as well as relief (casual) work opportunities.

All posts require you to work Monday to Friday (between 8.50am and 4.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8.50am to 5.10pm Wednesday).

An additional fuel allowance of £30 per month has been agreed for the 2022/23 financial year for employees driving over 300 business miles per month.

The posts require an enhanced DBS check to be completed.
