Deputy Manager: Out of School Club

Trumpington Early Years and Childcare (TEYC) is based in Trumpington, Cambridge. A breakfast and out of school club is provided during term time, as part of a wider package of childcare provision, for children aged 3 years to 8 years old. We are looking for a Deputy Manager: Out of School Club (qualified to level 3 in early years or playwork or equivalent experience) who is an enthusiastic and a motivated person to join our team for 15 hours per week term time only as a permanent position.

Salary: NJC Grade 6 - Full Time Salary: £24,982 per year (*approx. actual salary for 15 hours per week, term time only: £8,401 per year). Hourly rate: £12.95.

Main job purpose:

To oversee and contribute to a high quality, inclusive play environment meeting the needs of all children attending. To manage the out of school club, including staff, in the absence of the Manager. To be responsible for play planning within the out of school club, in collaboration with the Manager. To maintain a safe and stimulating play environment that is compliant with all aspects of the EYFS Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.
