An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Team Leader based at Larkfield and Bedford House in Ely.

Larkfield is a day centre, a community centre and a thriving community café; all of which are used by adults with learning disabilities and other members of the community. The Team Leader will manage the day to day running of the day service, the community centre and the community café.

Bedford House is a day service supporting older people, some of whom live with dementia. Both day centres are close to the centre of Ely.

The Team Leader will assist the Operations Manager to develop and maintain a high quality service which is able to adapt to meet the needs of the service and the service users. The Team Leader will promote the service vision of ensuring that service users have more control, choice and opportunities to live as independently as possible, while helping them to maintain and improve their wellbeing.

The Team Leader will be in regular contact with service users, families, carers, other professionals, partner agencies and members of the community, therefore the role will require you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with a sensitive and professional approach. A good understanding of equal opportunities, person-centred approach, mental capacity and diversity are all essential.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, support, guidance and supervision to the staff team as well as working directly with service users to ensure that their outcomes are met and the service develops and maintains an excellent community profile.

In return, we offer excellent training and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team, committed to delivering excellent services for adults with learning disabilities and older people in Ely.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check
