Our Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) Team is expanding, and we are seeking people to fulfil several engaging new roles, including a Technologist. The position is offered on a full time (37 hours), 12 month fixed-term basis. The role will be primarily based at Amundsen House, St Ives.

The salary offered will be at SO1, SCPs 23 to 25 (£27,741 – £29,577).

TECS is a pioneering social care service within the Prevention and Early Intervention Service. We work alongside colleagues from Sensory Services, Adult Early Help and Reablement to support people to maximise their independence and improve outcomes by preventing, reducing or delaying the need for formal care, avoiding hospital admission and supporting informal carers.

TECS provide a range of technological devices to support people and their carers with the challenges to everyday living and help with their independence, from the most simplistic pill reminder to the more sophisticated activity data monitoring systems. We provide digital community alarms across Cambridgeshire.

You will be assessing people for a variety of different solutions to meet outcomes including: medication management, falls alerts, door alarms, epilepsy monitoring and activity assessments to meet the needs of a wide range of customers of all ages.

You will have a positive can-do attitude with excellent assessment and problem-solving skills, and a practical outlook. You will be motivated, reliable, dependable, self-confident and able to work autonomously. Above all, you will be committed to representing our Service. In joining the team, you will be part of a fast paced and extremely busy, dynamic social care service where your flair for finding creative solutions can thrive alongside supporting people to independence.

You will be required to travel across the county and will need access to a vehicle.

IMPORTANT: This role will require you to enter the premises of a CQC-registered care home as part of your employment. Regulations which come into force from 11th November will require employees over 18 who enter CQC-registered care homes in England to have completed a full course of authorised COVID-19 vaccine doses at least 2 weeks before 11th November, unless they have a medical exemption. As part of your pre-employment checks you will need to provide evidence of your vaccinations or medical exemption. Your employment will not commence until this evidence is received.
