The role

As a Training Officer, you will be delivering underpinning knowledge sessions and visiting learners in their workplace to assess competence against national standards, ensuring learners make progress and achieve their qualifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Actively promoting qualifications training to early years and childcare practitioners to raise the quality of practice in settings
• Planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive training that meets the diverse needs of learners in the sector
• Assessing learners according to the CACHE/NCFE Guidelines and Code of Practice
• Assisting in the planning and development of Schemes of Work and Lesson Plans for training delivery from introductory to Level
• Providing support and guidance within childcare career pathways
• Establishing monitoring arrangements and using systems to ensure that feedback from training activity complies with the
relevant Quality Standard, Awarding Body and Inspectorate requirements and reporting procedures
• Being actively involved in standardisation meetings to ensure the quality and consistency of training delivery

Cambridgeshire Early Years and Childcare Training Centre

We are an accredited Training Centre delivering qualifications and awards within the early years sector to practitioners working with children from birth to five.

The Person

As an Early Years Training Officer, you will be graduate level with a Level 3 Early Years qualification and recent experience in an early years and childcare setting. A Trainer or Assessor qualification and a Verifier Award would be advantageous, but not essential. You should also have up-to-date experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage and assessing in the workplace. You will be able to manage your time well, and prioritise work under pressure.

Special Requirements

This role is office and field based and requires your own transport to travel within the County (work mileage can be claimed). This role may include some evening/weekend work.
