Are you an experienced valuer or residential sales agent looking for a flexible, part-time role? Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join their team to provide valuation and property advice for their housing teams. Undertaking negotiations and valuations for a variety of purposes including acquisitions and disposals of housing and/or associated land such as for expanding the housing stock, generating receipts or Right to Buy, you will work independently and pro-actively to meet challenging deadlines and targets.

With extensive experience undertaking such work, you will: use your excellent negotiating skills to successfully acquire and dispose of properties; look after clients, receiving and managing their instructions; undertake accurate inspections and surveys; prepare measured plans and valuation reports in accordance with professional body and statutory requirements; communicate effectively with legal and other professionals to complete sales and acquisitions in a timely way; and deliver reports/instructions to tight deadlines.

Working flexibly but with an office base in Cambridge, you will travel around the City and South Cambridgeshire. Homeworking or use of other offices in either area is encouraged so that your time spent is productive for you and us.

You will be part of a team of surveyors and valuers that deliver a mix of professional property work including landlord and tenant, development, valuation, acquisitions and disposals, and property management. The Councils also have separate investment partnerships and housing companies through which they deliver new housing schemes, both public and private, and alternative housing delivery models.
