Learning & Development Manager - Adult Social Care

Learning and Development within LGSS provides exemplary training as an accredited body for over 30,000 learners across the public and private sector. Our team comprises of qualified specialists with the focus and drive to deliver expert learning through a range of disciplines, teaching styles and approaches.
As part of an exciting new opportunity to shape and develop the Adults Social Care workforce we are looking to expand our professional team and are looking for a passionate L&D professional who will be able to deliver improved outcomes for people and communities.
In the role of Learning and Development Manager you will work closely with Northamptonshire County Council and Cambridgeshire County Council also alongside Peterborough County Council to ensure their services are responsive, effective and financially self-sufficient. It is exciting times all Councils as they respond to unprecedented levels of change. This is the drive for why are seeking to appoint a CIPD qualified Learning & Development Manager or Social Work Professional with learning and development experience to join LGSS; a shared service jointly owned by Northamptonshire & Cambridgeshire County Councils.
Reporting to the Adults and Children’s Development Manager, the role will focus on the development and delivery of learning interventions to support and equip the workforce of the Adult Social Care Services for the journey ahead. You will manage a team of professional colleagues who will be responsible for commissioning and delivery.
You will have a solid social care background and have moved into a Learning & Development role with proven experience of working in partnership with internal or external customers to implement programmes of learning and development in order to improve the skills, competence and confidence of the workforce. You will be a strong leader with a collaborative approach whilst also being agile and innovative in meeting service requirements in partnership with stakeholders and customers.
