Here at Huntingdonshire District Council we are passionate about the front-line services we deliver, and the Workshop Assistant is a crucial role in that delivery. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within our Depot and Workshop department.
You will be responsible for taking deliveries, using a forklift (training will be provided if you have no prior experience), keeping the yard tidy, and some minor maintenance to vehicles and equipment. This is an active role, you must be physically capable, but we are flexible, and looking at all sectors of the community and offer flexible working.
We offer good rates of pay, an excellent pension scheme and continuous professional development.
This is a full time role which will include occasional bank holiday or Saturday working for which you would be notified in advance but your typical hours will be Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (earlier or later shift patterns can be discussed if that suits).
