An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the successful, multi-agency Northamptonshire Youth Offending Service, aiming to reduce reoffending by working with young people, their families and victims.

This vacancy is for an Administrator based at our Northampton office supporting a countywide admin service. You will be the first point of contact for young people, their families, practitioners and professional staff and ideally you will have previous experience of working in a customer led environment, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate will be flexible to take on a variety of tasks, including minute taking, whilst communicating confidently and effectively.

We need to appoint a self-motivated, organised Administrator to deliver professional support for Practitioners and the Management Team. Accuracy, attention to detail and use of initiative is required when raising and processing invoices, minuting meetings, correspondence and diary management. The successful candidate must have a confident working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet), experience of using computerised systems although training will be given. The ability to prioritise your workload whilst achieving deadlines, in a highly performing and changing environment, is essential. An understanding of confidentiality and data protection is imperative.

You will need to demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and how you would make a positive contribution to our team. In return, you will work in a highly supportive environment, developing skills that will be valuable in the wider multi-agency community and your future career, in addition to:

• 2 day Induction Programme;
• Opportunities for career progression;
• 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays, an additional 5 days after 5 years’ service;
• Opportunity to purchase up to 25 days full time equivalent (FTE) additional leave based on weekly contractual working hours in the year;
• Subsidised pension scheme.

The salary range for the position is £19,528- £21,487 pro rata, per annum. Full Time 37 Hours, Monday-Friday. We are looking for someone who can be flexible to meet the needs of the business.

Please note this vacancy is for a permanent position.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Carolyn Sanders, YOS Office Manager, on 01604 364118 or 07850 854288.

Interviews will be held week commencing 11 October 2021.
