Working in the Youth Offending Service (YOS) as part of multi-disciplinary team delivering services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in order to prevent and reduce offending behaviour amongst young people. Working closely with YOS Officers and members of the Intensive Supervision and Surveillance (ISS)-High Risk Team to support the assessment, intervention planning, review and risk management processes.
As a designated Officer within the ISS-High Risk team, the post holder will contribute to the duties of the team by organising, providing and coordinating non-therapeutic activities as well as education, training and employment for the young people on the program, and with those assessed as High Risk, with the aim to reduce the likelihood of further offending. The post holder will contribute to the surveillance of the young people by tracking their whereabouts and exploring the reasons for non-compliance.
You will need to be a creative team player with the ability to adapt to change on a daily basis. You will be able to work independently, using your own initiative as well as working as part of a close team.
The ability to travel county wide is essential. This post will include evening and weekend work and the participation in an on call rota system.

This vacancy is on a fixed term basis, based in Huntingdon but covering Countywide where needed, working 22.5 hours per week. This fixed term contract will continue until 31.12.19.

Secondments from within Cambridgeshire County Council are welcome, but agreement from the current line manager will be required.
