Are you determined and passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable young people?

We currently have 4 available positions 1 permanent, 2 fixed term until Sept 2022 and 1 maternity cover until August 2022.

Do have an ability to engage hard to reach vulnerable young people and inspire them to achieve a positive outcome?

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust Young People’s Service offers support to young people and their families with identified complex support needs. They may be at risk of poor outcomes due to problems in the level of care and parenting they receive, and where they experience difficulties at home, school and the environments they frequent.

This can happen for a variety of reasons including inappropriate parenting or behaviour management; domestic abuse; inadequate housing or risk of homelessness; gang involvement, missing from home or being at risk of sexual or criminal exploitation.

All of these factors can leave our young people at risk of poor educational attainment, reduced physical and mental health outcomes and at a considerable disadvantage as they enter adulthood where there is a risk they will repeat a cycle that may well impact adversely on their own children.

Do you have the skills and experience to engage and build positive trusting relationships with young people to inspire them to make positive changes and improve life outcomes?

We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated team players with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to join our exciting team.

The role will also require you to complete return home interviews with young people who go missing and work with young people who are/or at risk of being sexually and criminally exploited.

We are committed to building a skilled, knowledgeable and flexible workforce promoting innovation and strive for continuous improvement.

We offer an extensive induction programme:

• 2 day Signs of Safety training

• An environment that fully supports your career and continuous professional development.

• A supportive and inclusive management team where you will be empowered to make good professional decisions.

If you feel that you have the skills and experience to do this role well and are passionate about working with staff who enjoy working with young people, then we would welcome your application.
