Northamptonshire Youth Offending Service (NYOS) is a successful partnership organisation working to prevent offending by children and young people, whilst helping to resolve offences for victims and protecting the public within your community.

We are recruiting two YOS Workers on a 12month fixed term basis. These posts will be in the Prevention and Diversion Scheme (PaDS). Working across the county and in partnership with the Police, PaDs aims to assess need and intervene early to address problematic behaviours and prevent or divert young people from entering the formal criminal justice system.

As part of the PaDs team you will complete assessments, deliver interventions, signpost to other services, and broker arrangements, ensuring that, wherever possible, restorative justice processes have been used for the benefit of all parties, and the young person has access to the services required to meet their needs in the future.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly effective service. We are looking for creative, persistent and extremely motivated people to work across the county with young people, their families, and victims to address the issues that have brought the young people to the attention of our service and repair the harm caused through their behaviour.

Educated to at least A level standard, you will have some experience of working with children and young people, the ability to engage positively with them, their parents/carers, the victims of their offences and colleagues in other agencies.

If you can meet these challenges, we’d love to meet you.

These roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
