Clinician - Disability/Safeguarding

Full-time. Permanent.

This post completes our team contributing to the unit model of social work practice. Cambridgeshire’s Children and Families services have taken the bold step of establishing systemic approaches as the golden thread through all their work with families, wider networks, and partner agencies. This has resulted in an exciting re-commitment to the delivery of systemic and clinical practice across the workforce, and enhancing the clinical team to support systemic social work practice. This commitment has resulted in a number of additional clinical posts in early help and social care to our already large, established, and innovative multi-disciplinary team. We are developing a coherent, well-described and agreed theoretical framework underpinning practice across the services which will improve the experience of the families.

This is the last post available for skilled practitioners with significant experience of working with families to consolidate their learning through working in a supported environment while training in systemic practice. The opportunity to gain experience working in a safeguarding context while supported in systemic training is a rare and unique position.

If you are committed to working systemically with families as part of an innovative and supportive team who work to a clear ethical stance, then we would like to hear from you and would be happy to discuss the details of the post in advance of application.

Cambridgeshire County Council provides high quality personal and career development opportunities. There is excellent professional support and opportunities for continuous professional development, good research opportunities, learning and training, including regular clinical supervision.

Closing date for applications is noon on 20 February 2018 with interviews to be held on 6 March 2018.
