Reporting to the Planning Policy Team Leader we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and versatile policy professional to join our planning policy team. This role will involve close working with Parish Councils, stakeholders and the local community. You will be working across an exciting and wide range of policy areas including Neighbourhood Planning, The Huntingdonshire Local Plan and a number of other strategies for sustainable placemaking, while also leading on evidence bases.

This is an exciting time at Huntingdonshire District Council and a great opportunity for a flexible, motivated, self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You may be an experienced policy officer looking for a new challenge or you may be looking to take that next step in your career. In turn, as a minimum, you will need to demonstrate that you have good analytical skills, experience of a broad range of computer systems and can write comprehensive, sound, reports, good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
