Northamptonshire County Council is being developed into an innovative and vibrant new service that focusses on putting the children and families of Northamptonshire at the forefront of what we do.

This is an exciting time as we introduce systems and working methods designed to make our job of safeguarding children as clear and consistent as possible. We want to make a real difference to the children and young people we work with and in order to do that we need the most competent and confident people to join our teams.

There are a number of vacancies in our Front Door to Children’s Services for a range of experienced professionals (Team Manager). This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of real change from the very beginning and to help influence the future of social work in Northamptonshire.

Our Front Door to children’s services is co-located in the Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) with partner agencies. The ethos of the MASH is to ensure children and young people in Northamptonshire are safeguarded, to improve outcomes for children and families receiving services and to deliver on statutory responsibilities.

We believe in putting children at the forefront of what we do, giving support to children at the right levels, ensuring that their voices are listened to. We are committed to improving outcomes for children and families by working with families striving for excellence across our services.

To take our services to the next level we have created Children First Northamptonshire. This change will enable us to be more flexible, to do things differently and drive forward best practice, removing bureaucracy and freeing up practitioners to spend more time with children and families. We are also currently adopting Signs of Safety into practice – an internationally recognised model for direct work with children and families that provides a child-centred and solution-focused framework for risk management.

If you think you are ready for a new challenge and have the experience and skills we’d love to hear from you. We have a range of roles available so if this isn’t the right role for you at this stage check out our recruitment pages. The important thing is to get involved, we’re committed to career progression and employee development so we feel confident we’ll help you achieve your goals.

If you’d like to learn more about the various posts within the Front Door before making an application, please use the contact details below and we will get back to you.
