We are looking for enthusiastic, honourable and determined Senior Practitioners to join the diverse and supportive children’s service at Cambridgeshire County Council.

This role is based within the Assessment team in March.

About the role

The needs of the children are at the centre of everything we do, so every choice we make is based on achieving the best possible outcome in each individual case.

You must be a qualified social worker with current HCPC registration and substantial post qualification experience. We are looking for committed enthusiastic workers that know good practice and have good mentoring and leadership skills.

Communication is key to this role, to allow you to form highly effective working relationships with your team, other professionals and our service users & families.

Senior Practitioners will have a reduced case load to ensure that they can support the Team Manager and the Team. They will also line manage staff within the team.

One of the key roles within the assessment team as a senior is to triage referrals and to chair strategy discussions.
