An exciting opportunity has arisen at LGSS Finance, primarily supporting the client Northampton Borough Council.

LGSS offers a range of professional and transactional business support services to the three partners, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Councils and Milton Keynes Unitary Council, as well as to other public sector customers and partners in the region.

We are looking for highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team and assist us in delivering excellent financial management in a diverse and rapidly changing environment. You will need to be dynamic, have proven strong communication skills and be interested in developing your skills for potential career progression in the future.

The role available is at Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP)
A CCAB or CGMA/CIMA accountancy qualification is essential for the role. Please see the relevant job descriptions attached for more information and person specifications assigned to each level.
The successful candidates will be expected to work across directorates, and support key high profile projects in the town, however the key areas of focus will be:
- supporting the Regeneration, Enterprise and Planning directorate, including providing financial challenge and input into a number of significant projects including the Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone.
- being the finance lead for wider, strategic work streams such as the Business Rates Retention Scheme.
