Thornton House is an emergency residential service for children with Emotional Behavioural difficulties needs.
We are seeking to recruit a Night Care Worker. Working 2 nights on and 4 nights off.
The post will involve supporting young people through the night and implementing daily routines to assist the young people to enjoy and achieve.
You will be expected to work as part of a small group of staff, working night shifts, offering support to the needs of our young people. You will have previous experience in a similar role working with children in an appropriate care setting or have appropriate life experience.
NVQ level 3 or equivalent is desirable however you would be expected to work towards this qualification if appointed.

The successful applicants will work proactively to increase the opportunities for the young people and will support the Management Team in the day to day running of the service.
A comprehensive Training and support package will be given to the suitable applicants
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance and 2 suitable references.

Applicants must be 22 and over (NMCS)
Your starting package will include 25 days annual leave per year. You will be entitled to 8 days Bank Holidays - there will be an expectation to work them on a rota system. Enhancements are paid on unsocial hours after 20.30 which is 0.2 and 0.5 on a Sunday and 1.0 on bank holidays.
