We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Administrator to join the team on a full-time basis at the Clay Farm Centre in South Cambridge. The Centre Administrator will assist the Centre Manager with the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the centre.

The Clay Farm Centre, on the southern fringe development in Cambridge, is a prestigious building on the new development and includes a community centre on two floors with library and café facilities as well as meeting rooms for hire. The building also includes a medical centre on the second floor and residential properties on two further floors. The centre overlooks the new Hobson Square and will serve residents of both the existing Trumpington area and the new developments.

Working across reception, library and the back office, the main elements of the role include administrative support for the centre, maintaining of the room hire system and administration of basic financial tasks. You will be expected to take bookings, input date for invoicing (chase payments where required), order supplies and help with community events.

With an exceptional level of customer service including a friendly, welcoming customer facing approach, you will be dealing with enquiries in person and over the phone. You will join us with administrative experience (including finance-based tasks), as well as experience of working within a community centre or similar environment. You will utilise your sound IT skills using Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain accurate records and timetables of the community use activities. You will have proven communication and numerical skills, but it will be your customer-focused approach and team working that will really stand out.
