We are currently looking for a Tenancy Sustainment Advisor to support challenging, vulnerable or socially excluded tenants (particularly those experiencing Mental Health challenges) to address their needs in order to sustain their current housing.

You will be responsible for assessing and reviewing, with the help of the wider team, individual needs, often in their own home, following on to support them on a one to one basis to access specialist services or clinical interventions when appropriate. In doing so, you will provide clients with an overview of the services available to them and seek to empower them to make their own decisions about addressing their own health needs, isolation, the occupation of their time, and possibly housing options.

We will look to you to seek to achieve outcomes for clients, providing weekly support for a set duration as well as preparing individual targeted support plans to address specific problems with the tenants to enable them to meet their housing related obligations.

The successful applicant will have some experience of multi-agency working, safeguarding and you should have a good knowledge of the issues affecting people with mental health difficulties. Experience of homelessness prevention and in engaging clients who are resistant is desirable. You will be an excellent record keeper and possess good IT skills that allow you to compile data that demonstrates the outcomes of your work.
