The Role:

There is an exciting opportunity to join our team and influence the health of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough residents. We are looking for a Public Health Consultant to assist in maximising innovative ways to improve population health through population health intelligence and population health management.

The Consultant in Public Health (Population Health Intelligence) will work across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough system including the Integrated Care System, local and Combined authorities and wider partners leading how population health intelligence informs the improvement of population health and reduces inequalities.

The post-holder will require strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to work across multiple system organisations and build good relationships.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is an area with strong economic and population growth, but also a high level of inequalities – particularly in the diverse communities of central Peterborough and in rural Fenland. There are significant opportunities to influence health and wellbeing in the area, through working with all tiers of local government and the NHS. The Public Health Directorate also has strong connections with a range of local organisations including community leaders, voluntary sector organisations and the Cambridge Institute of Public Health.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Dr Emmeline Watkins, Deputy Director of Public Health, Peterborough by email at emmeline.watkins@peterborough.gov.uk or by phone on 07920 160563.
