We have a brand-new fantastic role for a proactive individual with project management and administration experience. We need you to work at the heart of our Culture and Community team and be able to manage competing priorities with strict deadlines.

This brilliant opportunity will see you liaising with many different stakeholders and you’ll be able to take ownership in identifying and delivering sponsorship grants and other funding streams to support amazing events such as the Cambridge Folk Festival, the City Events Programme as well as aspects of the programme at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.

Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager, we will look to you to develop a fundraising and sponsorship strategy which is where you can demonstrate your influencing and negotiating skills. Our ideal candidate will have experience prospecting commercial sponsors and negotiating sponsorship agreements, building relationships with potential sponsors, and developing proposals for grant funders.

An understanding of the funding landscape for arts and culture organisations and familiarity with major potential funders and sponsors in the Cambridge region would be advantageous.

In return we can offer many excellent employee benefits for those working at Cambridge City Council which include family friendly policies, a generous annual leave allowance, health & well-being initiatives, employee support scheme, learning and development opportunities and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

We would love to chat to you about this opportunity and to tell you all about our team. If you would like to find out more about the role, please contact Ben Casement-Stoll, Marketing and Communications Manager via ben.casementstoll@cambridge.gov.uk
